Holly is hands-down the sweetest most *compassionate* counselor I’ve had! I’ve been with Holly just over two years and always know sessions with her will be positive and productive. I’m grateful for Compassionate Solutions, and can’t forget the office mascot Hammy! 🐕
Where do I even begin! I have been seeing Holly for a little over a year now and she truly saved my life. I have been to therapists before but no one comes close to Holly. She cares so much about each patient that walks through her doors. She is protective, honest, holds me accountable, the absolute best listener, tough (but in the best way), caring, and present. I didn’t realize how much I was struggling with until we unfolded so much in our sessions. From anxiety, to relationships with my family, friends, and men, to my eating disorder. Never in a million years did I think I would be writing this for people to see but now I am so open to sharing my story with all those around me. Mental health is so important. It is scary to make the decision to get help but it has made me so much stronger and confident. This has been the best decision I have made; to get help and start becoming my most authentic self.
There’s not enough time or words to express the gratitude I have for Holly!!! (But I’ll try) I have been seeing Holly regularly since 2019 and it is hands down the best decision & gift I have ever given myself. Holly is genuine, caring, non-judgemental, & the best listener. She remembers all the small details I share with her because she truly cares about my life and well being. She holds me accountable and encourages me to show up & be the best version of myself FOR ME!
I have struggled with OCD and being a germaphobe my entire life & she has helped me navigate through the trials & struggles I’ve encountered with it before & during the pandemic. I’m not sure where my mental health would be today without her & it’s scary to even think about it.
The hardest part about going to therapy but also the greatest benefit for me has been the ability of Holly being able to help me heal past traumas and wounds that I’ve carried for so long. She is able to bring awareness to me when I repeat patterns in my life & guide me along the way to not live a life out of fear!
Just last week I walked into her office & started crying expressing my gratitude for her because I knew walking in her doors that day that I wasn’t the person I was just the few weeks prior. Holly has forever changed & saved my life & I'm eternally blessed by her!
I found Holly through my Al Anon group at a time when I was struggling to deal with the emotional insanity and anxiety associated with a family member suffering from addiction. In working with Holly, she helped me quickly realize much of this anxiety was self-inflicted. And even more enlightening, that much of my personality and how I approached relationships with others had been shaped by dysfunctional, co-dependent coping behaviors and attributes that I had unwittingly developed over my lifetime – traits commonly associated with those who have grown up in, or around, addictive environments or addicts. While these realizations and taking the steps to achieve personal growth were initially very painful, my sessions with Holly have been life-changing and very fulfilling – my only regret is I wish I had known these revelations earlier. But, as I have also learned from Holly, there are no regrets in life and we move forward with an understanding of our past so we can strive to be more healthy and productive parents, spouses, children, co-workers, neighbors and friends.
I would HIGHLY recommend Holly if you are dealing with personal issues similar to what I have described, or any other difficult personal challenges that you may be facing that seem hopeless or insurmountable. She truly has changed my life and I now experience joy and happiness and healthier personal and work relationships at levels I previously never experienced. She has also taught me the necessity of setting healthy boundaries (not always easy to do) and most importantly, the need to forgive and love myself. I often joke with Holly that she is wise beyond her years - but she really is. She never fails to amaze me with her wisdom, advice and gift of being able to communicate and articulate concepts so clearly, thoughtfully, and compassionately. Her background, training, life and work experiences, as well as her compassionate listening and communication skills are unrivaled. In closing, Holly has been such a blessing in my life that I continue to have in-person counseling sessions with her in Southlake to this day – even though I moved to Austin, Texas almost two years ago!!! That fact alone should be enough to tell you how highly I think of Holly!
I found Holly after seeing the positive impact she and Ashley had for some family members. I cannot express how much she has helped my family and I through a really tough time. She makes you feel comfortable right away and you can feel how much she genuinely cares.
Holly helps you recognize what’s holding you back from being the best version of yourself and offers insight into the root of the problem. I was also amazed at how much insight I gained in each session, which is direct reflection of her ability to truly listen and ask the kind of questions that provide you with the “ah-ha” moment you need!
I am forever grateful for Holly, she truly has a gift for helping others!!
