A group of us shared a few apps (chips w/three dips, and two sets of wings) and I got a Black and Bleu Burger.
The chips and dips were all tasty with good flavour. For wing flavours we ordered Lemon Pepper and an order of Buffalo. The Buffalo spice level was nice and mild, very traditional. Lemon Pepper was well balance and not overly citrus. One of the things I thought was really good about the wings was how they were very crisp but still moist on the inside; a balance a lot of places struggle with.
The burger was alright. I enjoyed it, I'd order it again; it just didn't really wow me. The bread for the bun was an excellent choice; for light and fluffy but they lightly toast the interior part of it.
Then there is the atmosphere. You are right on Lake Austin and fish and turtles swim right up to you! A beautiful scenery, great food, definitely makes this a return place.
Whether by boat, car or jet ski, make your way to Ski Shores. This magical place is right on the water on Lake Austin. You can even bring your pup. A big water cooler with a bone appetite sign and shiny stainless dog bowls is set up right next to the dock. A nice playground for the kids is on the side. Live music on the weekends fills the space with good vibes. The Bloody Mary hits the spot for brunch and frozen margaritas are good at lunch. We always start with a basket of fried pickles and a basket of fried okra. Both are served with a side of ranch. I usually go with chicken fajita tacos or grilled chicken sandwich while the hubs likes the border burger. You will want to stay next to the lake feeding the turtles, carp and swans your leftovers. This may be the best spot in Austin.
Family friendly place right on the water. Playground for the kids. Laid back atmosphere. Food was good. Ambiance amazing. Will be back
