Let’s Taco Bout It!!! 🌮🌮🌮🌮🌮 🌮🌮🌮🌮
Highlights:
•Homemade tortillas
•Aguas Frescas
•Spicy salsa
•Sautéed veggies
Review: La Sabroza has all of this to offer and more. The experience started off with the horchata. It tasted a little different but still very refreshing. However, I didn't get the hints of cinnamon or vanilla that I would normally find in horchata. While the agua fresca is good, the main event is the Carne. First up is the Carnitas. While they were crispy, they were also a little dry. But, it’s nothing their spicy red salsa and lime can’t fix. The salsa added an extra kick with the lime providing that fresh citrus flavor, taking the carnitas to another level. Next is the chicharron. La Sabroza cooks theirs in a green sauce, which was good. However, it lacked the spicy kick it needed to really elevate it. The chorizo hit the mark: spicy, fatty, aromatic, smoky and delicious. The tripa was well seasoned and cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside with a soft center on the inside. Finally, the highlight of the whole experience: the barbacoa. Juicy, savory, fatty, and salty, cooked and seasoned to perfection. To add the cherry on top, everything was paired amazingly with sauteed onions and grilled jalapeño. Looking forward to making another stop soon to try more!
