This is a small park, good to go and read on one of the benches. People walk their dogs here or exercise in the open grass area. It also has a nice artistic wall.
Small and worth every inch of the space! This is one of Austin's "do not miss" locations, great for an afternoon picnic and absolutely stunning at sunset. The sculptures and art put together by Berthold Haas and the community are like none you'll find anywhere else. Make it a slow walk, a meander; it's worth it!
Was quirky but also I wouldn't call it a park lol.
This park is a tiny place in the middle of the neighborhood but worth the find! The textures are fun to look at and feel, and little strange objects are tucked away to look at and find. There’s a little hidden area behind it with some benches, and an abandoned substation to peer into next to it. Just park in the street and go take a look!
What a quirky park! It's pretty great to have the shades, benches, and open areas of a traditional park with the weirdness Austin is known for. The main draw to this park is the limestone and karat wall. Many trinkets are hidden in the nooks for you to discover on your own. Look carefully because every opening in the rock wall hides a fun surprise!
Sparky Pocket Park is the site of the former North Austin Electric Substation, which was rededicated as a public park in 2009.
