My daughter showed signs of a speech delay at 18 months and her pediatrician recommended speech therapy, so we started going to Speak Freely. We went twice a week for a year until my daughter graduated, she's now talking up a storm! Our therapists Kryssi and Heidi were amazing, both my daughter and I learned so much through this process. The therapists really love the kids and are on top their field with years of experience across a range of speech & behavioral issues. I was even a little sad when my daughter graduated, our experience was that wonderful. I highly recommend their clinic to anyone with a child needing speech or occupational therapy. Thank you, Speak Freely, for giving my daughter the gift of words and empowering our whole family!
We have a 3 year old with a speech delay went to Heidi for a few months. She is incredible. We've been to a few other speech therapists in the past and Heidi is the best, hands down. The Speak Freely facility is also better than others we have been to.
We have a 18 month old who probably has a speech delay too, and there's no doubt that Heidi will be the therapist we choose for him as well.
I came to Speak Freely with my son when we were having issues with reflux and a weak suck. We saw Heidi, the owner. She made us feel right at home and her knowledge made me trust her right away. She listened to and validated my concerns (invaluable to a new first time mom in the throes of the newborn period with a colicky infant and breastfeeding issues) as well as gave me tools to help me meet my breastfeeding goals and my baby's needs. I can tell she genuinely cares. We live in Leander and it was definitely worth the drive to see her.
I get the feeling that Heidi and her staff does speech therapy as a passion project as much as a job/business - she is fully invested in your child.
Our son’s and daughter’s language and clarity of speech have exploded since going to Speak Freely. We started with feeding therapy for our daughter, which we’re happy to say, she went from only eating purées to eating table food... yay! Heidi has made "emergency" house calls, given us her cell phone number in case something arises after hours, calls in to check with us, etc.
We appreciate that when the appointment starts, it is down to business - very focused. They are very good about including the parents to make sure that you feel comfortable with the exercises. We feel so fortunate to have our children learning from the best of the best.
Love, love, LOVE Speak Freely! Three of my children have been clients there over tge past ten years. All of the therapists we have seen have been knowledgeable and great to work with! I cannot reccomend them highly enough!!
