I recommend College Strategy as an advisor for college applicants and their families. The return on investment is very clear. Thanks to Vicki and Nathan, our daughter got accepted at her top college choices and received some generous scholarships. Applying to college today is a lot more competitive and nuanced than it was when I applied. Vicki expertly helped us navigate some complex issues that we faced and patiently guided us through the process. She frequently made herself available to us despite being on the other side of the world. Nathan's writing and creative abilities are amazing. He helped our daughter create a strong narrative in her essays, which is one of the reasons for her success.

We highly recommend Vicki Ross with College Strategy. She worked with our son and then our daughter during the college search and application process. They each had different needs and she had various service packages available to choose from. She definitely knows the ins and outs of the process and was always helpful in answering our questions. A big part of her expertise lies in her coaching of essays. Our kids learned what colleges are looking for in an essay and their essays were unique, interesting, and polished. We are so happy to have worked with Vicki and are extremely pleased with the results!

Deciding that I was going to apply for law school a bit late in the process was a daunting task. Vicki however made everything very streamlined and made sure all my files looked the best they could. I especially appreciate her team's extensive work on my personal statement, which was complimented in a handwritten note from a dean at Texas Tech Law!

I can't recommend Vicki and College Strategy enough. She gave terrific advice to my Junior, and really pushed her when working with her on her essays to rework and rewrite them, so she could represent herself in the best light possible. She recommended schools we hadn't thought of - one of which my daughter will attend, participating in their honors program. And she received such a big scholarship that it was more cost-effective for her to attend that particular school than having her stay in-state!

Vicki was encouraging, but quite focused, and she kept us all from being completely overwhelmed by the process of applying to schools. She is an investment worth making.

Our family highly recommends Vicki Ross at College Strategy because of our incredibly positive experience with her this past year. We have used other college counselors for our older daughter and our experience was not in any way as positive and successful as our experience with Vicki. Our son had a very easy time with his essays, applications and working up his college list of schools with Vicki. She is very organized, very professional, and knows a lot of strategies and insights into schools and the admission process. She is very good at empowering students to take control of the process and work independently with her on the applications, which was wonderful for me! Most importantly, she understand and likes teenagers and is fun and easy for them to work with. She was available to me for support for any concerns or issues that came up during the process. Vicki stayed engaged with our son, via texting (the only way to reach him!), by sending information and ideas to him to ensure his success. Vicki also has the ability to work with different kinds of kids with different needs and different working styles. We know of other friends who have used her and each kid, though they were very different "types" of kids, was extremely happy and very successful working with her. Our son really enjoyed working with her and we are thrilled with the experience and with the results! We cannot recommend Vicki more highly! She's the best college counselor we've seen in Austin and we have worked with 4 other counselors for college application support.
