I started going to Mike over a year ago with the intention to get back into a regular workout routine and some help with grip strength. He's very knowledgable and mindful of how the body works and adapts to your speed. He pushes you, don't get me wrong! But it always feels attainable (pun majorly intended). He worked with my changing schedule as a small business owner, and always made sure my time was valued. Since working together, I can easily bar squat and deadlift more than I thought I'd ever do, with more push left in me to do more. I'm still working toward a complete pull-up, but with Mike's help, I've achieved incredible progress toward that goal! I feel stronger, and have more energy to do all the things I need to do and then some. Overall, my body is in much better shape to deal with stressors and challenges from putting in the work he instructed. Highly recommend!!
My son is a tennis player and he meets with Michael one on one to work on his sport specific movement and strength training. We sought Michael to improve my son’s flexibility, and mobility and reduce injuries most efficiently. Michael did a full body 3D analysis and was able to figure out which groups of muscles were restricting his movement and ability to play at a higher potential. Michael created a detailed plan to improve his mobility, strength, and athleticism. Initially, the goal was to help my son move faster in court and avoid injury in the game. Not only has he improved in these areas, he also has gained significant hip and leg strength, core strength, shoulder stability, and marked improvement in his movement patterns in the last few months. My son can serve better with increased power and can now significantly lower his hips into an athletic ready position while playing, which was also one of the main things he needed to improve in his game. The various exercises suggested by Michael have helped him achieve all of this and further push his body to work efficiently towards playing his best game of Tennis. As an added perk, Michael also helped change my son's diet with a nutrition plan that allowed him to perform at his best during his tennis training sessions, workouts, and weekend long tournaments so he could recover better between matches.
Mike is amazing. I came to him for hand pain. Doctors recommended surgery. My hands are infinitely better through training with Mike and I know what to do when they get aggravated. He's also helped me work through trouble with my back, knees and ankles. I see Mike twice a week now for preventative maintenance so I can keep doing the activities I love. Thanks, Mike.
For years I have been dealing with chronic pain. It started with my lower back, then middle and now my shoulder. I have tried so many different treatments to reduce and/or get rid of the pain. Physical Therapy, Orthopedic Care, Chiropractors you name it, none of it worked. About 5 months ago I was introduced to Mike at Attainable Growth, and we started working together.
After a couple of weeks of working with Mike I started to feel some relief. Mike showed a lot of patience working with me, he quickly realized that I was inexperienced with proper form, and he really focused on helping me learn the fundamentals of proper stance while working out and rehabilitating my injuries.
Mike is excellent when it comes to follow up and holding me accountable for my progress, I can honestly say that after a couple of months working with Mike, I was experiencing noticeable improvements in mobility, strength and overall, well-being.
I would highly recommend Mike for personalized, well thought out rehabilitation or strength training sessions, he is also very well versed in nutrition, diet and weight loss.
I have worked with Mike over the last 4 months and started seeing real progress in the first month. I tore my meniscus in both of my knees and damaged ligaments in my left ankle from running 5 miles twice a week. Previously, I had worked with two different physical therapists, two doctors, and an orthopedic surgeon over the course of 8 months. After the first three months with them, my progress had plateaued and each of them told me I would never be able to run or hike more than a mile or walk more than 2 miles at a time. I am 27 years old. I started looking elsewhere and interviewed a half dozen personal trainers. Mike stood out as the only one with a deep understanding of joint issues and was able to personalize a workout plan around it.
In my first session, Mike studied the way my body moved and diagnosed my joint issues as tight hips and flat feet. He then created a workout regimen that focused on correcting the way my legs moved. Within a month I had noticeably higher arches on both feet and the tightness on the left side of my hip was gone. I am now running a mile and a half twice a week with no soreness during or after.
I highly recommend working with Mike if you are recovering from an injury. Mike’s approach is very detail-oriented and he talks through his thought process on his treatment.
