I have to say the wait time was something serious, over 3 hours to get to #17 where Angela helped me with my transfer. She was very knowledgeable and efficient. If it had not been for her this review would be completely different. She took care of everything in the one visit and was the most pleasant government/state employee I've ever encountered. I'm so very thankful!

I got there 30 minutes before it opened and there was already a huge line. I was nervous I was going to be stuck standing outside for awhile, but once the doors opened the line went down fast since everyone just needed to get their number in line and there were plenty of seats inside. I still waited for about 30minutes to an hour (I expected it to be long so I was just happy to be able to sit for it), but when I was finally called, the guy that helped me at booth 18 was so wonderful and kind. I was actually scared because my out of state registration was expired, but with a smile he was like “we are gonna make it work!” He just had a great attitude the whole time. Made the experience painless and walked out with license plates and registration in hand!

Arrived at 6:50am to try and beat the line. There were only 5 people there. The line got a little longer by 7:30am, but nothing too crazy. Everyone was allowed in and the process was seamless.

1) Scan QR Code to register for a ticket (may have to complete a form depending on what you're looking to do)
2) Wait for your number to be called (Only took 3 minutes from the time I registered.

A note on hours - it says here they open at 8am, but they actually open at 7:30am. I came here to get my vehicle registration renewed. No appointment: just a walk-in (appointments were booked solid until October). Arrived around 7:15 and there was already a line of about 20 people outside. Stood in line until they opened the doors at 7:30. Got inside and checked in fairly quickly. I had sat down for perhaps 15 minutes until I was called. Renewing registration took less than 5 minutes. Was out the door before 8am.

Bottom line - get here EARLY and don't bother with an appointment.

Impressed to say the least. I needed to transfer a CA title to my name here in TX, and also get a TX title and plates. I was very careful when filling out paperwork & did my research prior to coming in. In the past I’ve waited 4-6 hours with no system other than someone calling my name out and this experience was so much different. When I walked in - someone directed me to log in with my phone. I was then emailed a number and waited only about 2hrs until they texted
& emailed me to alert that it was my turn. I arrived at 8:45 am and the parking lot was full so I thought I would’ve had to wait so much longer. The young man helping me was training but he was thorough, and kind. If you have all of the correct documents filled out and are prepared - it’s no more than a wait and them quickly entering in all of your info. I highly recommend this location. It’s also a perk that the space itself has plenty of seating, good AC, and the bathrooms are SO CLEAN. Grateful I had a good experience today because in the past I’ve dealt with so much worse.
