“These guys do good and inexpensive work. Had them do a whole brake job all four breaks and rotors and fluid flush and it was quick but they torqued my lug nuts down hella tight. I stripped a nut using the socket that comes with the car. Had them put my winter tires on and two of the tires were put on backwards. I'll come back here for sure but just keep your head up.”

“I've had very little experience with body shops (fortunately). Our car was sideswiped pretty badly and the person who did it had decent insurance. I had the car towed over to Oak Hill Body & Paint. They were close to our home and on the insurance company's approved list. Chris was incredibly helpful in every way. He got the estimate done quickly. When the insurance company gave him the OK to proceed he told me it'd take about two weeks. Two weeks later, to the day, he called and let us know our car was ready. It actually looked much better than before the accident. Not only did they fix everything perfectly, they detailed the car and it was gleaming! We were very lucky. No one was hurt, the insurance company gave us a rental car for the whole time and Oak Hill Body & Paint did such a great job, it's like it never happened. I'd certainly go to them again for any body or paint issues.”

“Oak Hill Automotive has been my family’s choice for inspections/oil changes/general car maintenance for several years now. Hank is fair and honest, and every time we get work done, he provides a detailed explanation for what they did and why. I always learn something new. I would recommend them to anyone. Keep up the great work!”

“This was the easiest, most reasonable car repair ever. 4 ladies in a weekend trip away from home with a serpentine belt off track. We called Ashley, he was here within the hour and got us all fixed up. What a great service! Thank you for your help!”

“Matt was super helpful, respectful and honest. My truck wasn’t running right, turned out to be from a weak/failing fuel pump. Matt had it diagnosed and repaired quickly. Highly recommend, will use again!”

“Quite simply, Steve Hawkins is a master of many things, particularly attention to detail. Over the past year, he's been the man behind an amazingly diverse range of work on my 1972 Ford Ranger, everything from a radiator replacement to interior cosmetics to major custom surgery fitting a Vintage Air AC system into my 1972 Ford, which wasn't really built for it. His appreciation for vintage vehicles is incredible, leading to extra care for even the smallest details. He's an honest craftsman and a straight shooter you can and should trust with your gems.”

“Found this hidden gem a little off 290. I first went to Oak Hill Automotive but they seemed busy and couldn’t take in my car for a quick inspection. I won’t even try to go back there now that I’ve found this auto place! It’s a mom and pop type of mechanic shop and the service makes me feel at home. They aren’t too busy and easily accepted my car for an inspection and I was out the door within 20 minutes. Please note, they do only accept cash for inspections without any issues. If you need a quick repair, for instance, mine was a ripped windshield wiper, they can fix, charge you and you can use your card for both the inspection and repair. But anywho, yes, these guys are worth it!”

“Jerry Dixon’s really helped me out when I was in a bind. Sorry to be mysterious, but I’m not sure they want to provide this type of service often so I don’t want to list it here. Suffice to say they took good care of my 1930 Buick and gave a newcomer to the area some very valuable advice and assistance from hundreds of miles away. Also, their rates are reasonable.”

“I bought some aftermarket struts. I had them disassemble some complete stock struts and springs, then assemble the springs on the aftermarket struts. I made it more complicated using 4th Gen 4Runner springs for my first Gen tundra aftermarket struts. Brought them what I had and two hours later they had them put together beautifully. They did an outstanding job and I would recommend this shop to anyone. I love supporting small businesses, and this is a local Austin shop that deserves more business.”

“Luke Cats - what a delight to work with. I brought my car in after an oil leak repair from another garage went south. Luke was super compassionate with my shock and frustration at having to have the repair done again, albeit correctly this time. He even took the time to consult with a mechanic friend of mine, since my car was in tow condition and getting a second opinion would've been difficult. Well versed in what he does, thorough in his diagnosis, and honest about where he sees other garages in the industry not do right by his customers. Very happy to have stumbled upon his garage!”
