I bring my guitars to Chris. He does amazing work and, I am so happy with the quality of his work. I live in Manor, but if lived in Austin, or Round RockI would bring my guitars to him. He's that good!!!
Took my Ibanez RGA j.custom for Chris to swap in a set of Bare Knuckle Nailbombs. He was friendly and communicative and even went out of his way to polish the frets for me. I'll be taking my guitars to him again.
I had taken 4 of my Electric Guitars to Chris Harper for a full setup. It was a real fast turnaround time and great pricing. I was extremely happy with the work; these guitars play excellent! I'm taking 3 more of my guitars this week, and will continue to use C.S. Harper Guitars for any and all guitar setups, repairs, and/or modifications! Chris is a true Professional Luthier and his work is much appreciated! 🤘
I had Chris do a set up on the first guitar that I got for Christmas as a 12-year-old. A late 60s Sears Silvertone acoustic starter guitar. Nostalgic to me but very hard to play. 50 years later I bring it to Chris to do a set up to make it more playable. I am very happy with the results. So then I had him do a set up on a 80s Fender 1962 Strat reissue that always had intonation problems. I had it to a repair shop years ago to try to make it right without any success. Gave it to Chris last week and five days later it now plays and sounds awesome. Now he has my Takamine acoustic to check setup. Chris is highly recommended and I am glad I found him. Fast and very reasonable priced service.
I’ve taken a few of my guitars to C.S. Harper for work varying from complete rewiring of electronics to routing a battery cavity and opening up pickup cavities for upgrades. One required a custom tremolo arm because the tremolo (and guitar) is from the 80’s and is no longer made. Always does the research needed and makes sure the work is quality. I love getting my guitar backs super shiny and clean after they’ve been beat up / neglected by me, as well. I really dig the strings used, too. It’s nice to get a piece back, plug it in and the hardest part is deciding on how you want set the amp up because it just plays.
