The chicken was good just needed a little more seasoning and cornbread needed a little sugar. Besides that this place is a hidden gem especially for its location. “I received excellent care here in the inpatient and PHP programs. Shae is an incredible case manager. Hava was an excellent therapist who was supportive and challenging. All of the group leaders were great, including the interns. I especially enjoyed working with Stephen, Leslie and Michelle. Equine therapy was lovely. Yoga and meditation were fantastic, and singing bowls were a joy. I came in after I made an attempt and was still struggling with severe SI, five weeks later i regained my confidence, self respect, and happiness. I’m so grateful for everyone at Sage Villa, they literally saved my life. Also I had some great techs, McKenna was fantastic. Communication was not always clear but overall I had a great experience.”

“Came in and was immediately greeted and seated. So off the bat service is excellent. The menu had quite the offering including gator, frog legs, and poutine. I had the shrimp creole and the sauce was spicy but in a good way, fresh crunchy bell peppers, onions, and good shrimp. The chicken fried chicken was also nice and crunchy with the chicken being well cooked. The potato salad was also very fresh, just made? And the fries, one of the better basket of fries I've eaten (would recommend)! Will absolutely come back again and be a bit more adventurous. “Will always love St. Mary Magdalene's! It was my church for too short a time, but while there, the community was one I hadn't experienced for almost twenty years. Being there reminded me of another diverse congregation I was blessed to be a part of when first beginning my faith journey and I hated leaving. SMM has a wonderful pastor in Fr. Montes-Vela (his bilingual sermon deliveries are unforgettable); a graceful and gracious leading lady in Mrs. Montes-Vela; members with a sincerely welcoming and sustaining nature which is not easy to find; studies that are theological yet down to earth; a zeal for community care; amazing music, that's both calming and joyous, and last but not least great fellowship with good food to match. I miss them so much and hope to be able to visit them again when COVID-19 restrictions as well as my own church obligations ease up and I can fully participate in the worship without a pressing care in the world. Love and miss you SMM, keep up the inspiring work!”

“This place reminds me of my grandmas house, the smell is nostalgic for me. The hotel is older, but well maintained. As for the service they do not like it when you ask for towels or sheets at night and sometimes when you ring the bell for service it can take 5+ minutes for them to come to the door. The staff is friendly though! There is quite a bit of construction going on somewhere nearby so it can be quite loud outside with all the big trucks driving by, but you can't hear the trucks from inside.”
