Had rotator cuff surgery on my dominant arm about 3 months ago. For PT, I went to the people at Endeavor (Pflugerville). They are excellent! They pushed when I needed to be pushed, and gave me "homework" to do when I was at home. Do your homework! Now I can raise my arm over my head, both in front and off to the side. I realize that for my arm to be at 100%, it's going to take quite a bit longer, but I feel like I'm at 90% already. Excellent staff...excellent care...I recommend wholeheartedly!
Endeavor Physical Therapy has wonderful staff! My therapist was Vanisha, and she always listened to me without interrupting, modified exercises based on my feedback, and helped me understand what triggers the back pain. She did not have an unrealistic expectation that I could stretch for 2+ hours a day.
She equipped me with exercises and tools that help me manage and improve my body. She also recommended Light (another therapist at this location), who is an expert at dry needling. I am thankful to Vanisha, Light, and the rest of the staff in this location and highly recommend them!
I can't say enough good things about Brianna, Light, Nicole, and Vanisha. I've been going to Endeavor PT Pflugerville for about 8 months. They have helped me to get my life back! When I first started coming to physical therapy, I had stopped working out, dreaded riding in the car, couldn't stand at concerts, even dining at a restaurant was difficult if the chairs were uncomfortable. I felt completely isolated by my pain.
I began my physical therapy journey with Vanisha. After just one visit, I already felt improvement. And after a few more sessions, she got my pain down from an 8 to a 5 out of 10, and on really good days a 3. When my progress started to plateau, she determined that I would be a good candidate for dry-needling. That's when I transferred to Nicole's care.
For people who are uncomfortable with needles, dry-needling can be scary. Nicole talked to me about consent all of the way through my first session. She made me feel safe and like I was in control of my experience. Occasionally, we need to leave the needles in a little longer, and my session begins to run into her next appointment. She tells me, "You're not being high maintenance. You can stay as long as it takes."
Nicole recognized that my chronic headaches were actually cervicogenic headaches. She showed me a neck stretch that helps to prevent and alleviate those headaches so that I don't have to suffer. She even accompanied me to one of my doctor's appointments and had a collaborative conversation with me and my doctor about my future treatment plan.
In Nicole's care, I sometimes have days with no pain at all, but I'm not quite finished with my physical therapy journey. I still have muscle tightness and postural issues to work through. And my pain can spike back sometimes. But I've been able to go on road trips, camping, hiking, and walk all over a 3-day music festival. I can do all of the things that I used to do before my pain took over.
Light is their assistant, who I sometimes get to work with. He is super friendly, easy to talk to, cheers me on when the last reps of my exercises get tough, gives me high fives and kudos to my improvements from the last session. I walk away feeling like I've just been hanging out with a friend.
Last but not least, Brianna is the unsung hero of the group. She's the face you see when you walk in, and the voice who answers the phone. The atmosphere is relaxing and laid-back because she keeps everything running smoothly and effortlessly.
Nicole is a fantastic PT and helped me overcome low back and hip pain! I went from barely being able to walk around the block to enjoying 3+ mile hikes again. She was very knowledgable and I appreciate how she explained all the different kinds of treatments we used including strengthening exercises, joint mobilization, and dry needling. I’m constantly recommending Endeavor to anyone who needs physical therapy!
Nicole was amazing therapist! She get me back on my feet and now I can do everything that I could before my injury. Hours spend on therapy were amazing not just because exercises were individual adapted to my needs but Nicole also explained each of them ( why I need to do them; what muscle is working and how this exercise is helping me to recover) and she was amazing company as well!
