Gorgeous trail system, with ever greens in the winter and the lake, jogging is a gift.
Our favorite place to go for a walk..the trailhead on the staked plains loop is walkable distance from my house. From the trailhead, I walk towards to the YMCA and the lake. I prefer this trail over the one that leads you towards the soccer fields. Either way, it's a serene, peaceful and a safe trail if you are looking for a solo/ family time.
For those in the Cedar Park area, this trail takes away any reason to go to the lady bird lake trail. Part is paved, some is gravel. There’s a creek. There’s a lake for kayaking (with kayaks to rent) & fishing. There are multiple parks along the trail. The parks have sport courts, a skateboard park, dinosaur bone digging area, splash pad, bocce ball, play gyms, a pool & so much more. People walk, run & bike (road & mountain) on this trail. I walk the same 4 miles 2x a week and always see something new. Check this place out! It is amazing.
The Brushy Creek Greenbelt trail is excellent 4 Walkers Runners and cyclists. They even offer several mountain bike trails of various skill levels. With ample Parks scattered along the trail, there are plenty of restrooms and water fountains.
Really nice walking paths by the creek. Playing fields, basketball courts, skate park, playground, and across the main street their is a splash pad and more walking trails.
