Lali Son: Nepalese Restaurant

I stumbled across this place while I was looking for a closer Indian restaurant online and decided to try it since the reviews were so good even though it’s inside a gas station. I ordered the chicken tikka roll medium spicy, veggie samosa and the buttered naan bread. The employees were very helpful, I had asked about the size of the roll to make sure it’s not the size of an egg roll and it’s the size of a regular wrap thank goodness! It was so good, fresh veggies good seasoning, it did come with a green sauce and a red. I have no idea what the sauces are but the green kinda tasted minty maybe and the red is a sweeter one (my husband ate all of the red sauce.) The veggie Samosa was medium spicy, plenty for us, they were good too. The naan bread was buttery as I ordered but are just a little thinner than I like. They weren’t fluffy like I’ve had at other places, it was more like a homemade tortilla. We will definitely be back I can’t wait to try the buttered chicken! Online ordering was super easy. I didn’t see any table and chairs inside but they did have a couple outside.

Got the Chicken #46 appetizer Lali Son Style (extra spicy) they warned me it was hot but I love spicy food. It was amazing, just a tad spicier than what I was expecting but I handled it like a man with only a couple tears 😂 They warned me though and I really appreciate that. Even gave me a dessert because they didn’t think I could handle it 😂 Definitely earned themselves a repeat customer!

We moved to Leander a few months ago and a family member raved about Lali Son. I couldn’t fathom something so amazing being housed in a gas station but boyyy did I quickly learn how wrong my initial assumption was! The food is fantastic- we ordered online & it was ready hot, fresh and on time. We ordered the crispy wings spicy and the spice level was perfect- polished it off so quickly that there was no chance of getting a pic. I could literally eat the Chicken 65 Biryani every day, it’s that good! Can’t wait to try their curry dishes and will probably get the Family Combo next time so that there’s a slight chance of leftovers :) Highly recommend Lali Son!!!!

I would want to give them 5* but not quite as each time I order a curry, they decide what they want to send regardless of if being a karahi or anything else! Their Indian Chinese is incredible tho. Hakka Noodles to die for. Wish they run it a little more diligently and not think I am some ignorant customer who can be fed any curry they decide on that day!

Home sick and craving some comfort food and I decided to finally give Lali Son a try… and I am SO HAPPY I DID!!! The service was fast, a great price, and the food is just wonderful 😍 I got the butter chicken and it was cooked to perfection! The chicken is tender and juicy, and the sauce is so warm and comforting! I could not have asked for a better lunch! Please try Lali Son ASAP…don’t wait and miss out like I did!
