I am an RN and new to Austin. My primary doc referred me to Dr Rumi following a severe flare-up of a previous L5 disc protrusion. I tried conservative measures (PT and one steroid injection) for about 2 months before seeing him, but my pain was getting worse. I was not quick to jump into surgery, yet once he did a microdiscectomy on me, it was clear that I needed it. I feel great 3 weeks out of surgery and I'm nearly ready to resume working. As far as I'm concerned Dr Rumi is awesome. He is patient, kind and thorough. I'll definitely return to see him if I have any further spine issues.

I went in not being able to walk due to a ruptured L4 / L5 disk, and in great pain. An hour or so after surgery, I was shuffling down the hall in the hospital. That next summer I summited Mt. Phillips in New Mexico. I cannot thank you enough.
