All fives! They let us hold bags for a few hours after checkout. Free breakfast was great. Very quiet location compared to the Hyatt House/Place on Century Blvd. Free shuttle from the airport just like these locations, too.
We got a spacious double queen room as you can see in pics. The room was clean and tidy. Cleaning staff do a great job here, tip them well.
2 problems with our room: 1- it's not sound proof at all, if the upper room is occupied you will definitely hear them walking. 2- The heater made a loud noise, will be problem if someone is sensetive.
We had free breakfast served from 6-9:30. Sometimes it gets crowded and you have to wait in line. The breakfast is the usual continental but you can find healthy options such as fruit bowl or whole wheat cereal with almond milk and coconut shreds, raisins, etc. Orange juice and coffee is served too.
Parking is an open lot at $25 per night.
There are fitness room and outdoor pool and jacuzzi too but we didn't try them.
I stayed here the night before a flight out of LAX just because I didn't want to deal with traffic. It was great!
Check-in: I was slightly early to check-in and they had no issue checking me in when I arrived. I previously texted them to ask about early check-in as well and they confirmed they had the availability.
Breakfast: I read reviews that the breakfast here is excellent and I confirm! Best breakfast I've had at a Hyatt Place. You can tell the food is made with love. And the quality of the food is better than any other Hyatt Place.
Service:
Front desk: super nice and helpful staff!
Housekeeping: they brought us extra sheets and blankets within a reasonable time frame. Excellent!
Check-out: They allowed me a late checkout by an hour so I could relax in my room until I had to leave to go to LAX.
Thanks for the great stay, Hyatt Place!
We had a delightful experience at the Hyatt Place Los Angeles/LAX/El Segundo with our 2-year-old son. Would definitely stay here again.
Very convenient location to all the attractions we wanted to go to: Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach / Abbot Kinney, Hermosa Beach (super laid back place with fun energy and family friendly vibe), the aquarium in Long Beach, Malibu, and Beverly Hills / West Hollywood / hiking Runyon Canyon. It was also really nice to be able to arrive at the airport, be picked up by the hotel shuttle, and be at our hotel 15 minutes later. Plus it was nice how easy it was to get back to the airport when we left. We actually took the shuttle to the hotel when we arrived, and then the next morning I took the shuttle back to the airport to get a rental car while my wife and son were able to relax at the hotel and have breakfast, so we didn't have to deal with that after the flight.
The daily breakfast buffet was a highlight -- a rotating selection of fresh fruit and bagels and eggs and potatoes and much more -- it made it so much easier to start each day with breakfast and coffee covered. My son liked the eggs and fruit (and, let's be honest -- the pancakes/waffles). Also, there was a fridge in the room for our son's milk and snacks.
The hot tub and pool area was also really nice. We were able to take a nice soak in the hot tub after putting our son to sleep in the room. The heated pool was also lovely. We will definitely stay here again.
