Loved visiting except the wasps! 🐝 they were everywhere but that didn't stop me from taking a few photos!
The atmosphere was delightful. The wind blowing through my Mohawk right before it was scheduled to rain. We had a blast!
The neighborhood was very friendly!
A beautiful space with views of the river, art, green space, lots of different types of seating including tables, and chairs, benches, and some swings. Some good shade if you can find a spot. With going down there if you are in old town.
So pleasantly surprised. We sat under the trees for over 4 hours. It was 90+ outside but next to the water it was very comfortable no excessive sweating or overheating. We went to Chadwick for dinner that was awesome and not as crowded as the other spots on Kings Street. We noticed others had brought their dinner to the park and ate by the water great idea. We would have stayed longer if we had something to drink after dinner--nothing easy near where we sat. Plus such a good location didn't want to move and lose our table. I hadn't really been out post COVID this was an awesome start. We didn't feel as though we needed our mask as we people watched from an individual small 4 person table that allowed distancing between people.
Beautiful place to spend a romantic evening and also ideal to explore at any time of the day. Just a couple of miles away from DC this is a must visit place to try some amazing English breakfast and Italian food, walk around the place and click some nice pictures too.
Grab a coffee and enjoy the scenery of the Alexandria waterfront. Great spot to catch up with an old friend for for a bit. Or bring your bike and roll on the trails.
