Laurel was warm and compassionate while also very practical and smart about the best strategies for selling our home. She took on a lot of the grunt work in getting our house ready for market as we had to move very quickly for a job transfer, and she always arrived with a smile. Her staging was beautiful, and she spent a great deal of time marketing our house with professional photos and videos. She was also very patient, even when we got frustrated with the process. Her instincts are rock solid, and when we listed our home in the window she thought would be most effective, we received an offer, above asking, within 24 hours. We cannot recommend Laurel enough; she is EVERYTHING you want in a realtor.

You know if you need to have someone “walk you through the process “ of buying and selling a house then Laurel should be your agent. I have had experience with buying and selling before (also working with Laurel) but this present situation was by far the greatest challenge. I have reached out to her Several times in the off hours and she has responded quickly. She is not an 8 to 5 realty agent. You always need someone to encourage you beyond your comfort zone when necessary and someone to pull you back into realty at other times. This realty agent is a cross between a coach and a counselor! As those of you reading this review already know - the residential real estate market in Alexandria and Arlington is very competitive. We came to Laurel having spent the first few weeks of our home buying search with a different agency experiencing varying degrees of effort and quality of thought. The juxtaposition was night and day.

Laurel is exceptional. Beyond the typical expectations of an agent (knowledge of the market, responsiveness, setting up showings, comparable assessments), of which she is a consummate professional, Laurel provided significant value-add. She is able to leverage strong relationships with other agents and residents to keep you one step ahead. She doesn't wait for you to ask to see a house, she is proactive in bringing you options that may not be readily available online in addition to the ones you covet. To put it simply, she will fight for your best interests.

We closed on a house we didn't think we would find, in a neighborhood we didn't think we could afford, for a price we didn't think we could get.

We worked with Laurel to get our house ready for the rental market. From the start Laurel treated us like high-end, important, clients; it didn't matter that we were going to be renters instead of sellers. Her incredible project management skills, organizational skills, patience, attention to detail, follow-through, and "can do it" attitude buoyed us through the process and got us done 2 weeks ahead of our schedule. After our first meeting, Laurel was already putting together a timeline, including lists of things to do, areas of potential bottle neck, recommending vendors to call, and calling vendors to schedule meetings for me when I was swamped with other work. She also gave me realistic goals to achieve and broke large tasks down to small steps when I seemed overwhelmed. And Laurel's reliable team of workers are still coming to help us out with final projects as we get ready to move, and I know I can keep their names as contacts for any work we may need to have done in the future. It has been truly a pleasure working with Laurel and we highly recommend her to anyone looking to rent or sell their house!
