Mount Dew Church

Mt Dew is tasy

This is a lovely site in the woods of Pettigrew Wildlife Management area, after wandering the area for awhile I found it and took some photos, then I sat down and tried to find some information on the place. There is no church here, but there is alot of gravesites, turns out there military erroneously destroyed the church in 1944, A.P Hill is across the street I assume they messed up the property line.
Either way, the area remains quite open, with a beautiful purple flowering ground cover and some great big old poplar and oak trees, some fallen.
While I was sitting here righting this review, my two Shepherds suddenly began woofing at some unseen and unheard presense, kind of strange ;D
