Had a wheel assembly on our trailer sheer off on 77 in VA and a local campground recommended we call RV Doc. Austin was the one who came to our rescue and provided excellent, friendly service. We were in 18 inches of snow and he was fast, amiable, and got us on our way so we could continue North to our family. I would recommend their services to anyone wanting repairs done right.
Our main breaker blew in our camper and being away from home we did not know how to get it fixed. I found a card for RV Doc and called. They came to our site same day and got us going again. Very polite and fast service.
Butch Chesser, the owner, has a beautiful facility at Meadows of Dan, Va. We were staying at the Wytheville, Va. KOA. We had almost ripped the rear wall off of our Winnebago motor home. The KOA recommended RV Doc. We called late in the day . At 10:00 AM Butch showed up at our campsite. He and one of his men worked on our RV for an hour to get it in shape to go back to his shop. The trip to his shop was about 45 min. to an hour. Once there, he and his two young men that work for him worked to 7:00 PM to get our RV buttoned up and water tight. While in the garage he hooked us up to 30 amp power(50 amp with a reducer) and we put our slideout out. We ran the air and relaxed. They did an excellent job and the price was very reasonable. He billed our ins. co. directly. Along the side of his building he set us up for the night with elec., water, and sewage at no charge. In the morning we hooked up our tow vehicle; contacted our ins. co. with Butch; and were on our way. Butch is soft spoken and very personable. He has a way of putting you at ease. All of his staff are very friendly. They take pride in doing a good job for an honest price. He and his staff literally saved us. They were so kind and helpful. We can't recommend them highly enough.
The refrigerator in our motor home quit 3 days into a 4 month trip. Butch Cresser was recommended by the campground where we were staying and was a terrific find!!
His shop in Meadows of Dan, just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, is clean and orderly. Butch is training 2 high school senior to do repairs. Tyler worked with Butch to install the new fridge. Butch has a calm way of directing his "student" and they work well together. My furniture was covered to prevent damage and Tyler even vacuumed the coach when they finished. We camped in a full hook-up site next to the garage overnight to be certain everything was working correctly.
The bill for labor was more than fair for the high quality service provided. We highly recommend this shop, which also does mobile repairs.
