Kudos to Mikka !!! Personal touch services is one of USAA preferred contractors and we are lucky we chose them.. There was water damage on our property right after Christmas, Personal touch services were able do the repairs in a timely manner. The staff were responsive, they were very good on calling to let us know what was going on and what's next.
We highly recommend them.
As far as the work, well they haven't started yet. We had a pipe freeze and bust in our kitchen. Kelly Mitchell was a God send, she did the estimate on the house to fix it and went out of her way to walk me through every step of the way and finally got what we needed from the insurance company. Give that woman a raise!!!!
So on Feb. 27, 2021 our brand new townhouse we just purchased flooded from a repair done by prior house flippers. We have USAA homeowners insurance and they promised that Personal Touch Services were the #1 rated company to have for water mitigation, put-back restoration. I will say that in a matter of hours the water mitigation team was there and started work immediately and was very helpful. Shout out to those hard working people- our troubles arise now that it’s MAY 4th 2021 and we have been ready for them to start putting our house back together for a month now. Our insurance company has issued their check and we paid our deductible and these people have yet to actually show up and start working. They’ve told us different dates for weeks now. They also don’t call if they’re not coming, making it extremely hard to plan or work your schedule. They always say “oh no one called you?!”
They need to get better communication skills and the app they have is never correct. Unfortunately, here we are 3 months with still no functional downstairs in our townhouse and 3 months we haven’t been able to get to any of our stuff. We were told this would be a 20 day project post- water mitigation and here we are. *update* the team finished and our house looked very well put together. Overall After a bit communication was fixed and things became more punctual.a few weeks later We recently found a new wet spot and we called Rhett and he came out next day to check up and on it and get us a quote all while being compassionate. They do well dealing with bad situations where people are already upset. I’m sure they’ll get our issue fixed in a timely manner as soon as they can.
