I built a PC from parts two years ago and after a recent Windows update it wouldn't boot up. I brought it to Providence. John asked a few questions and gave me confidence they could assess the issue. It turned out that one of the RAM slots on the motherboard was bad. They diagnosed the problem and gave me reasonable options. I got back a working computer for a small diagnostic fee. This company is trustworthy and reliable. I'll be back.
My hard-drive finally crashed. John @ Providence was very helpful. Had a new laptop, same as my old one, and advised windows 11 to replace 8.1, I love the new setup. Thank you John and Providence computers.
A quaint and efficient place with a great selection of computer parts as well as excellent service. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I had my unresponsive desktop reassembled there and it worked with no issue!
I recommend them 100%
Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They also produce a quality work product at a more than reasonable rate. I brought in my Surface Pro 7 after being turned away from UbreakIfix and Best Buy to have my screen repaired. Not only did they repair the screen but they did it quickly, 2 day turnaround.
I work for a fortune 100 Technology company, being in this field for over 25 years, Providence Computer sets the bar for the support you need easily out performing "Big Box" stores.
Speaking with the staff it came to light some people may have an issue with their prices, but what these individuals aren't thinking of is the cost of the part needing repair. If you separate the part from the labor you will find their labor rate is below industry norms and frankly half my rate when I use to do side work.
If you don't want to be a number, spoken down to, or just rather support local "Mom and Pop" stores then Providence should be top of the list for your consideration.

Providence computers always has what I need and they were very helpful. Thanks again guys for years of great service. Today I needed a 1 to 3 fan splitter. They had it unlike the big box stores. I also wanted to get an air cooler so I didn’t have to use a water cooler anymore even though I have used closed loop water coolers for a decade with no problem. Sure enough they had the newest version in stock of the model I wanted, which no big box store has stocked. I was still on the fence whether to spend money on something I already had under control. I ended up happily buying that air cooler from them and they also had the top-of-the-line thermal compound in stock and, oh boy!, my temps are the same as if it was water cooled. I didn’t even install 120 mm fans on the back and top but the case is open so in my case, no pun intended, it’s not needed. So the funny thing is I didn’t really need the 1 to 3 fan splitter but I’m still glad I got it anyway. Thanks again! Also while I was in there I saw them help a lady get a laptop charger that they had in stock. Awesome sauce!
