Concerning the sales process at Southern Volkswagon:
Overall, my experience purchasing a car here was very good. Negotiating the out the door price was smooth. The only negative was that they put Lo-Jack on every vehicle with a $700 lifetime subscription... But I don't want Lo-Jack. It was extremely frustrating for me to come to terms with this. I was unsuccessful in getting them to roll that fee off. Mostly a nuisance for me and not a detractor. I would buy here again. Maybe next time I will order the vehicle and not take one off the lot so as to avoid the Lo-Jack thing.
Service at Southern Volkswagon:
So far it has been very good. I had one occasion where I needed to have my vehicle looked at that was unplanned. They were very accommodating. My first scheduled service event went very smoothly. I have worked with other service teams; some very bad and others quite excellent. So far, I'd say this team is tracking towards excellent. I have not had enough time with them to give a very confident review, but so far so good. I am very encouraged by what I have seen so far. In my opinion the service team is really the anchor of an automobile dealer. The purchase is only a one-time event. Service is for the life of the vehicle. Because of this, I value and measure a dealer more by their service team than anything else.
Went in to just see if I liked the car. Well ended up leaving with a car that night. They made a deal I couldn’t walk away from. Ask for Drew he was great to work with and went well out of his way to help me. Plus the managers and finance guy were awesome to work with.
The service provided by the team at Southern Volkswagen was phenomenal. From the service department that quickly provided detailed recommendations for my previous vehicle to the sales department that took great care of of my needs in purchasing a new vehicle. I can not thank each department for doing a great work. They did a wonderful job during the whole process, explaining each step thoroughly and ensuring I was comfortable with my decisions. Thank you again for taking good care of everything, it truly was a great experience purchasing my second VW car.
