(December 16, 2021, 11:49 am)Well organized shop with great selection. The owner is knowledgeable about the pieces. The inventory almost overwhelms the space, which limits the number of larger pieces.
(May 8, 2021, 5:38 pm)Very cute shop with lots of great items to find at decent prices, but be prepared they only take cash or check, seems a weird policy for a brick and mortar store in 2021. Unfortunately that'll be the one thing that keeps me from making this a regular stop since I rarely carry either.
(January 28, 2021, 2:58 pm)This is a lovely & quaint shop, with a notable lack of dust or the usual icky consignment/2nd hand shop smell that you find in other places. There are so many wonderful items that were carefully selected & neatly organized in an incredibly shopper-friendly manner. The staff is super helpful and clearly know their stuff! Highly recommend!
(April 7, 2018, 7:50 pm)This is the finest vintage/antique store in Richmond I've ever come across. The selection is discerning yet fairly priced. Since my interests lie mostly in vintage/antique Asian items, if you are interested in them as well I can say that they have a very impressive selection of Chinese and Japanese wares. When I went today for the first time, there were several examples of vintage hand-painted Japanese "soba-choko" Imari/Arita, the cups used to dip soba noodles into their cold broth.
I informed him of my area of interest and he enthusiastically showed me a recent acquisition - a gorgeous ink stone with a dragon motif (I think it's Chinese, but I'm not sure). I should mention that the owner is incredibly warm and kind and will most assuredly help you with anything you need. Even if you are more interested in Western items, you're in luck because that is mostly what they carry.
I absolutely can’t recommend this place enough!
