South Bend Motel

Just Excellent! Stayed here while looking for something more long term for a travel assignment. The staff have all been extremely nice and helpful. At some properties clerks ignore your saying good morning and act as if you are inconveniencing them. Here they are friendly. Easy check in with no hassle. The beds are super comfortable with lots of pillows. The windows open for fresh air and the AC works great. A hot stuffy room would be a dealbreaker. We are used to Embassy custom omelets so thought we would not care for the breakfast here but it was surprisingly delicious. We constantly see staff emptying trash in halls and mopping foyers. At first glance room 413 looked smaller but it has been cozy rather than cramped. Such a pleasant surprise! We prefer a walk in shower and were happy to find that is what they have. We OCD wipe down hotel rooms with sanitizing wipes, they are usually nasty by the time you finish but this place was cleaned so well that the used wipes looked new. Impressive! Thought we would miss having a microwave but the only time we needed to warm something we were able to find a microwave by the front desk. The last place we stayed didn’t have parking so we had to park across the street! The parking here has been great and patrolled by a friendly security guard. Walking distance to a couple of delicious restaurants. Just pleasantly surprised all the way around! Very impressed.
So far this property has not had a single negative. A snotty night clerk or stuffy room can make you not want to stay at a property again. These guys should train the Embassy and Hilton people how to run a hotel the right way. Five Stars!

We had made a reservation threw Expedia and check in time was at 3pm which was a bit late for us since we were traveling from NorCal.
The Front Desk associate was super nice and friendly and she was able to accommodate early check in ! Room was super clean and had everything you needed ! Location is GREAT too so many near by stores and Restaurants !
