I am not a customer per se of VMR. But I feel qualified to make a character reference. I met Mike today when he helped his nephew and me load a kayak onto my car at Mike's warehouse. Mike had no idea who I was, only that I was some random off of Craigslist who had bought the kayak from his nephew. Mike spent 45+ minutes of his own lunch hour shrink wrapping the kayak, tying it onto my cross bars with *3* different straps/tapes for redundancy, and tying front and back to tiespots on my car's front and rear. Instead of using the ropes I had bought, he used his own foam pads, his own shrink wrap, his own plastic strapping and his own glass-fiber tape. If he's willing to do that for some random off the street *whom he didn't even sell anything to*, I can't imagine how he treats his actual customers. My suspicion is that he treats his customers pretty darned well. I'm not in the market for any medical repair services, but if I were, you can bet I'd be coming to Mike, even though I live 4 hours away in Wilmington NC. Thanks again, Mike.

These folks turned my repair around in a matter of hours after I overnighted it to them. They returned it same day, I received it next day.
Great repair service for CPAP equipment at a reasonable price!
Called in to ask about a CPAP repair after a visit to a sleep disorder clinic. The CPAP Tech told me mine was broken. It was less than a year old and still running with no obvious signs of problems, so rather than purchasing a new one for several hundred dollars as advised, I thought about trying to get it repaired. I spoke with Fred, a wonderfully kind & knowledgeable tech at Vriginia Medical Repair. Fred asked some questions and said it didn't sound like it was broken. He offered to look at it for me and i made plans to visit the shop the next day. Fred was as kind and friendly as he'd been on the phone. He invited me to the work area and connected my CPAP to his cool laptop. He checked it a couple of different ways and the testing proved the machine was fine. His best guess was that somehow the CPAP may have been stuck on the "ramp" mode. He refused to charge me and I was so thankful. I told him if I had any further issues he would be the first person I'd call. If you have medical equipment that needs repair, call them. It's a small friendly establishment with kind & knowledgeable people. It's so refreshing to receive service like this. I wouldn't call it customer service because I didn't feel like a customer, more like the person from next door, although I live more than 25 miles from them. I'd say they treat their customers like good neighbors who look out for you! Thank you again Fred!! What are you waiting for people, call them for your repairs!!
I couldn't get my Cpap machine to start one night. It had been working fine for 8 years. I called about 5 different places and no one would help me. One recommended Virginia Medical Repair. I called on the late morning. They told me to bring my machine in right away. I Tltook it to them and in less than 15 minutes they replaced the button pad. Machine works great again. Can't thank them enough.
