Brandermill Eye Center

It's been four years since I wrote this review and my eyes are still doing great. I'm always amazed that with a simple treatment, I can see so well.
I don't use any medication, although they are available if I need to use them. After having sub-par vision for most of my life, this is truly a relief.

The eye experts that I had visited in the past only noted that I had "dry eye" and then moved on to prescribe contacts or eyeglasses without ever treating the underlying problem. Dr. Shen explained the different options for treatment - soft contact lenses, hard contacts, corneal refraction therapy, eyeglasses, treating the underlying dysfunctional tear syndrome - and then performed a complete eye examination. I ended up choosing to first try the treatment for the dysfunctional tear syndrome, and as long as I followed the protocol, it gave me 20/20 vision without contacts or eyeglasses. I never realized that I could have vision this good without some sort of corrective eye wear. I found Dr. Shen to be professional and ethical with regard to my treatment and to be able to fully explain all of the options that were available to me rather than just performing an eye exam and handing me a prescription for contacts or glasses as had been done by the eye care professionals that I had visited in the past. If you want to know the best treatment for your eyes, I can strongly recommend that you pay her a visit.

Was my 2nd optomestrist visit ever in my life. The 1st was very disappointing at a different office, this visit more than made up for it. Dr. Shen made sure that I felt comfortable and cared for. She took the time to provide plenty of information and advice. I left knowing how to better care for not only my eyes and vision, but my self. I would recommend this optometrist to anyone who wants to ensure they get the best care possible. Eyes are a very sensitive part of our selves, and I'd prefer going to a doctor who not only knows her stuff, but cares about others and does everything possible to ensure they are properly cared for.

I went to Brandermill Eye Center to see Dr. Angela Shen. After one week of eye treatment, my vision improved from 20/200 to 20/40. She looked into what caused my blurry vision and prescribed treatment before giving me prescription glasses. Past doctors simply gave me eye exams and glasses without looking into the cause of my vision problems. She is highly recommended from several previous patients. Dr. Shen is dedicated, ethical, good at trouble shooting, experienced, and clinically skilled.

I am very pleased with the care I have received from Brandermill Optometry. All I can say is I was having eye trouble. It was hard to describe but my eyes simply bothered me. I use a computer all day and I am on my phone texting and browsing heavily as well. I thought well I'm over 40 I must need glasses. Thankfully Dr. Shen wasn't so convinced, my vision was 20/80 when I began seeing her, after following her treatment plan, I had 20/20 vision. I will say due to a busy schedule I didn't comply fully to her treatment plan but even so I'm now at 20/25. Her plan really worked to help my eyes feel better. She is very thorough and tries to get to the bottom of what the problem is, she doesnt just prescribe contacts and send you on your way. She asks questions and spends time to find out what's wrong. My eyes feel so much better now, no more jumping, dryness or tiredness. In my opinion Dr. Shen means well and will do all she can to see that your vision problems are solved.

20/20 vision after treatment. No eyeglasses, no contact lenses. I wore eyeglasses for 40 years and had lasik eye surgery on both eyes. After surgery I still had to wear bifocals eyeglasses and I had eye pain. At my first eye exam with Dr Shen she explained to me blurred vision symptoms is her obligation to find out what caused me to have blurred vision and eye pain. She explained the treatment in detail and gave to me instructions in writing to help me to comply my treatment after two weeks. Now I have 20/20 vision. Dr Shen's practice is the best I've seen my entire life. She is a caring professional and she takes time with her patients. I went into her office wearing glasses now with her help I don't need them. I can see 20/20. Her dedication and attitude toward her customers is above and beyond what any other doctor does. I am a retired Soldier and she really dedicates her time to me. I appreciate Brandermill Eye Center and Dr Shen. Thanks Dr Shen for helping me. Also my son is a patient or Dr Shen and she takes good care of him as well.
