(August 31, 2019, 8:36 pm)Saw what I believe was a tiny red bellied water snake near the swamp on the SW of the site.
Very quiet evening, one doe deer, a flycatcher, eastern bluebird, common yellow throat and a few others. Did not see the white fringed orchid bloom was probably past.
Beautiful wild place. On its way to greater richness and diversity thru time and growth.
