(November 9, 2022, 6:27 pm)We visited on a Saturday evening at around 8:30 PM for the first time. The venue was crowded but we were fortunate enough to get seated within 10 mins, half the time we were told it would be.
As we passed the prime seating areas and spacious booths, we were led to the back of the restaurant in front of a high service traffic area...less than ideal. Not to mention, to one side of us, was an area with seats and other furniture and tables clothes stacked haphazardly. That view plus the view on our opposite side of three tables that had yet to be cleared after other patrons had dine provided a stark contrasting picture to what would be an overall great dining experience.
Our overall positive dining experience must be attributed to the chef and our exceptional server Ilishia. Her strong, positive engagement, availability, and prompt responsiveness turned what could have easily been a 3 star experience into 4 stars.
I got the Maxx Burger with bacon and sweet potato fries and my partner got the street tacos with fries. Both dishes were delicious and light enough to leave room for dessert.
We got the Key Lime Pie which could easily feed 2 or 3 and I got the Chocolate Budino. The latter of which I would not recommend because the cookie topper was chewy and stuck to my teeth...just think tootsie rolls texture and chocolate pudding...not the best mouth feel.
I got the DB Kentuck Bourbon, which was quite good. All of this was for under $80 which is pretty good for the portion and the overall feeling of not feeling wanting for more.
I would definitely recommend and visit again without reservation. This could easily have been a 5 star experience if it weren't for the less than ideal seating situation and atmosphere.
Nevertheless, my compliments to the chef and our server Ilishia.
(July 16, 2022, 9:07 pm)Nice steak and fish restaurant with a beautiful kitchen and bar and it is interesting watching all the work that goes into preparing your meals. Not a large menu, mix of fish, sandwiches, and steaks. Did not like that salad and soup was extra over the relatively high cost of a dinner. I ordered a 14 oz rib eye steak that was really good and got broccoli and green beans for $44 but the house crab bisque was an extra $13 which seemed way too much for me. Our waitress was friendly and efficient and overall I recommend Burtons Grill.
(June 9, 2022, 3:21 pm)This was our first time going to Burtons, it's quite a distance from Maryland, but it was well worth the drive. We weren't disappointed. Our server was awesome! The appetizers, the drinks, and entrees were DELICIOUS! If you've never had General Tso's Cauliflower, this is the place to try it!! We'll definitely be back.
(May 17, 2022, 1:01 pm)The food is great! Friendly service. They should put a spoon in the napkin wrap along with knife and fork. Took the server a bit of time to get one spoon for my table. The portion size is great! You will get full.
(January 1, 2022, 9:10 pm)Love this place! I came often when I lived in the area. Now live out of state but always make sure to stop by when I'm in town. I love the Super Foods Salad but everything I've tried has been absolutely delicious. It can be a bit pricey but it's worth it.
