This review was long overdue. Jo Ann is the best realtor I've worked with! Why? Genuine, honest, accessible, flexible, knowledgeable ... Back in 2013, I was helping a family member sell a townhouse in Burke, VA. This wasn't a high sale, high commission deal, but it was the financial situation our family was in and we still wanted to find the best realtor for the job. I interviewed a dozen realtors, many were nice, had good suggestions for home improvements, but Jo Ann was a step above the rest. She was genuine and honest, treated me the same as I'm sure she would have someone selling a McMansion. She was knowledgeable about the location; schools, parks, VRE, new developments in the community ... beyond the pedestrian, "yes schools in Fairfax are amongst the best in the country, or the parks in Burke are beautiful". These answers aren't wrong, but shows a superficial knowledge of the specific area / location that my property is located at. Jo Ann was also flexible in connecting with me on some late evenings due to my hectic work schedule. Please don't abuse this flexibility, but if you're kind / appreciative, I'm sure Jo Ann will accommodate within reason. Finally, the advice she gave for evaluating offers was also spot on, yes there was some luck involved too, but the advice managed risk / reward that worked for me. I'm not at the point of being able to purchase / sell another property, but if / when I am Jo Ann is my go to. Thank you Jo Ann :)

We were planning to move to Northern Virginia and we did know any real estate agents. My local real estate agent recommended Jo Ann and we clicked right away. It is very easy to get along with Jo Ann; we could call her, text or email her any time and always got immediate response.
Jo Ann literally made our dream house come true: there was a wait list for Ashburn town homes at One Loudoun and Jo Ann stayed in touch with a builder and a seller almost daily to make sure that we got the house.

I was introduced to Jo Ann Kennel in 2004 as a referral from a friend of mine. In my lifetime, I bought 7 houses using 6 realtors. Two of those houses, I bought using Jo Ann's professional experience. She is by far, the most helpful, knowledgeable, professional, and efficient realtor that I know. To date, I have referred about half a dozen friends to her and they all bought a house and say the same thing, "she is the best." She always goes out of her way to make it a great experience and help me find the house that is right for me. I intend to buy one more house in my lifetime and I hope that Jo Ann will be my realtor.

We met Jo Ann as endorsed by Dave Ramsey as an Endorsed Local Provider. She is prompt and answers all your questions, no matter how small you may think they are. She was able to assist us in negotiating a mutually agreed upon price of a house we were purchasing, with a difficult selling agent. She understands the "ins and outs" of the VA loan process. She is objective while providing sound advice to the requirements we desired in a house and location. Highly recommend her.

Jo Ann was recommended to us by cousins and friends. We used Jo Ann to sell our home back in 2014 and to buy our new home that same year. Jo Ann had our home sold in 4 days, and she was very patient with us as we looked all over Northern Virginia at houses. She knows her stuff. She also helped my mom sell her condo a few years ago as well. Highly recommend.
