Sofia Rizwan, MD, Psychiatrist

Dr. Rizwan is straight forward. If you’re looking for a lot of hand-holding, she may not be for you. I personally love her. She’s intelligent and gets to the point. Has helped me work through my depression and getting the correct meds.

I had a fantastic experience with Sofia. She supported me through the tough time of the Covid years. Pleasant to speak with, a good listener and adapted well through the time spent working together. Sophia is a straight talker which worked well for me, direct and to the point.

Psychiatry can sometimes feel like a doctor who doesn't know you well throwing diagnoses and medications at you until something sticks. Much less so with Dr. Rizwan. If you're able to communicate your life context to her, she will listen; moreover, she's careful about trying to track side effects and tailoring your treatment to lessen them. She's been treating me for years now.
