I am a self-conscious, anxious mess (previously I signed up for a daylong mindfulness retreat but didn't go because I was freaked out by the idea of bringing a vegetarian dish to share) but since my plans for the day were canceled, I figured the universe was telling me to go to the noon meditation session and I'm glad I listened. Not wierd or intimidating at all. Just an hour of calm, quiet and compassion with a few pleasant strangers. No pressure to share or expectation that you have some previous experience.
