  Spring-Mar is an amazing preschool where the teachers, staff and director are exceptional. Since it is a cooperative preschool, the parents are involved which makes the sense of community very strong. This is one of the most important things that drew me to enroll my son. That family atmosphere is everywhere you go. You get to know the entire staff and other families (both in and out of the classroom) and it makes for a warm, loving experience for your child. I am very happy with our decision and I look forward to many more years!

  Our family are huge believers is a play-based model of education. We also are believers in being heavily involved in one's child's education. Spring-Mar meets both of criteria! Having moved from Maryland and being involved in a cooperative preschool there, we naturally sought out cooperative preschools in the area. Bar none, Spring-Mar is the best. Small classes, professional & loving teachers, and honest & approachable staff make Spring-Mar a true gem in the Springfield/Burke area. This year is our last at Spring-Mar and, while the whole family will miss it, we are so fortunate to have had the opportunity to be a part of this unique community.

  My 2 year old daughter goes to preschool at Spring-Mar. When she first started, she had a hard time adjusting but her teacher worked with us to help her separate from us. Now she loves going to school.
  
  It is a cooperative model so each family is expected to work once a month in their child's classroom as the teacher's assistant. It has been great because it has allowed me to learn new ways to help my child learn, get to know the families in my daughter's class and have a voice in how the school is run.
  
  They have an art room, a block room, music time, movement time, story time and themes each week. Since starting school, her social skills have improved and she has learned so much from the teachers, parents and other children. The teachers are all very caring and experienced with teaching young children. All the families that we have met are also wonderful.
  
  I highly recommend this preschool to any family who wants to send their child to a school with quality programs and an opportunity to be involved in their child's education.
