Still best shop in town, cant beat the people!
I had a brake issue the day I was supposed to leave Floyd, and my Airbnb host recommended B&S. I got there right before they opened, and the nice gentleman who opened the office door immediately got my car onto the lift to take a look at it after I explained that I had to travel to Baltimore for work that afternoon. After a thorough check, during which they eliminated other potential causes of the issue, Ricky, a different mechanic, informed me that I’d need a new brake master cylinder. Unfortunately, getting the part would take a day, but he assured me that if I got there first thing the next morning, that they’d take care of me right away. I was there before anyone else the next day, and true to his word, they got me in right away, and fixed the problem in a couple of hours. He apologized for it taking so long, but I know that good work cannot be rushed, and I appreciated his attention to detail. I was nervous about the bill, as we didn’t discuss what it would cost prior to them working on the car. When they charged me for the work, I’ll admit that I was surprised, albeit in a positive way! The bill was extremely reasonable for the work that they did.
I cannot recommend them highly enough, for their expertise and meticulousness, for their integrity, and for being so kind to me. I know lots of mechanics who would simply have guessed at the problem, instead of using a process of elimination to find the actual cause, as they did, or who would have taken advantage of a one-off opportunity to make some easy money from the out-of-towner. But they did me right, and I’m willing to bet that they’d do the same for you. Thank you, Ricky and everyone else at B&S!!
