We dine here a couple times a month. Fresh seafood, great atmosphere on a marina. Great service, all the staff are friendly and know what their doing. My spouse always gets the shrimp plate, always cooked perfectly. I try something different every time. I haven’t been disappointed. They have several Surf Riders in the Hampton Roads area. We have try some of them also, same great food!!!
Excellent food as always! Their menu is now limited, size of some portions have gotten smaller, and my favorite dish was not offered (included this info for those that are familiar), But, that nudged me to try something different and I was Not disappointed. The seafood is always fresh and cooked right! Crab cakes are some of The Best on the Peninsula! My husband and I like coming here for our anniversary. I highly recommend this restaurant for seafood lovers.
Every year we come to the area to vacation and visit family. Every time we have come here for a meal and we have never been disappointed. The clam strips are light and yummy... crab cakes are phenomenal and the shrimp just leave you wanting more. The staff have always gone above and beyond to make for a comfy visit as well. Not to mention the gorgeous location. I look forward to our next trip.
I got the oyster on the half shell app and the broiled sampler. Oysters were on the small side but had good flavor. Over priced for the size but my fault for ordering them in August(no months without an R). The sampler had a flounder filet that was tasty and cooked perfectly. The crab cake was no filler and all thriller. Scallops served at a perfect medium rare with a nice sear. The butterfly shrimp were tasty but a bit over for my personal taste. The broccoli side was immense and served with a lovely Hollandaise.
