I recently took the motorcycle 2-day class at TNCC and it was the simple the best class I can remember ever taking! The instructors were simply awesome with Mike, who was the lead "Riding Coach", and his assistant Steve, they were very detailed and thorough. They took students who were timid, afraid, hesitant; those who had NEVER gotten on a motorcycle before and gave them the life saving lessons that I'm sure they will remember for the rest of their lives. By the time they were done with all of us we all were confident and eager to get on ANY motorcycle! If you pay attention they will train you to stay alive while on the road. It's amazing how quickly they can teach you how to safely ride a motorcycle! Outstanding team of professionals!!
Took the motorcycle riding class over a 3 day weekend. It was great, helpful and informative. Got my riding endorsement and still remember tips they have during the class each time I'm out on the bike. Highly recommend!
Thomas Nelson is a nice school imo. PLEASE go on ratemyprofessor in order to get a good instructor.
Campus is a little bland imo, but then again, this is a community college.
I find most of the students here to be great, making friends is easy, just put yourself out their a little bit and you'll be quiet surprised when people open up to you. If you're having trouble figuring out what classes to take for your major, then I HIGHLY recommend to see if you qualify for trio. They are a great student support service. And if not, meet up with an academic adviser WHENEVER you have questions about what classes to take. Believe it or not, these people really want to help you out. Library is rather small, but they'll have what you need. And many supplemental academic books/material can be found for FREE online on their catalog (As E-books).You're going to find rude students, teachers, staff, rude people period; no matter where you go, that's life. But the majority of them are just fine here at Thomas Nelson.
I find it unfair that other people are unable to give a fair review of the college, only giving lopsided 1 star reviews on personal issues. Or some ambiguously positive review on the flipside. The problem with this is that people fail to give readers the big picture of the college, and ultimately leave readers with an incomplete or distorted view of the college itself. I hope this one can give you a fair overview of the campus.
