  So far I’m very pleased with my mother in law’s transition to independent living at Lakewood. And relieved! She moved in a few months after the pandemic started, which had us all nervous. But she has been well taken care of from the time she moved in! The pandemic actually gave her a little bit of time to settle in and get used to the facilities without being overwhelmed, and she has had such great experiences so far with easy vaccine distribution, prompt maintenance, minimal sound - only noticeable if people talking in hallway outside her door but nothing from neighbors, a really great group of neighbors, and quick responsiveness to a concern over construction (they found a solution within a day!). And when the banks were closed due to Covid, she found that there was a bank downstairs in the facility that she could use as well! I feel like she is in terrific hands, and can’t wait to be able to visit. I also hear it’s quite beautiful.

  I can’t say enough how great and amazing this vet is. I have been coming here for maybe 4 years.. the other day I took a litter of puppies for a check up. They were so amazing and good. I was even a little picky this time because I needed specific paper work for each pet. I’m sure I was annoying but they made sure everything was correct. This office has never ever let me down. Thank you.. Love Cristy, Jasmin, Buddy and the new puppies

  I took my two newly adopted cats here to see Dr. Coins. With COVID restrictions, they really made it painless! When dropped them off curbside the staff was there ready with our intake papers. We ate breakfast next door at the cutest cafe while we waited. Would do it every Saturday if possible. Dr Coins and the staff was awesome!!

  I can't say how well my pets have been treated. I never feel that I'm being sold more services than needed. Very caring and if you have questions they are always so helpful. Would 100% recommend!!!!

  We needed (minor) emergency care for our puppy on a Sunday and I called Ladera Ranch Animal Hospital. They agreed to see us right away. As soon as we got there someone met us at our car and took our puppy to examine. The vet and techs were all caring and helpful. They called the next day to check on us and answer any questions. We were so thankful they were open when we needed them!

  My father fell ill and needed a place to recover after weeks in the ICU. We looked at several options in the Richmond area and chose Lakewood. We couldn’t be happier! My father is enjoying the wide range of foods available, the helpful staff, and is recovering quickly. The rooms are nice, modern, and clean with terrific medical support. The staff are super friendly. A special shout out to Courtney Thompson in their sales department, who has helped us from 3,000 miles away tend to his care, inform us of options, and generally make this trying and stressful experience as pleasant and cheerful as she can.

  I previously worked for a large corporate retirement community. Six years ago I came to work at Lakewood. What a difference! The residents and staff are so friendly. It is an amazing place to work.

  I have worked at Lakewood for over 20 years and am continually impressed by the the best group of staff, residents and families that contribute everyday to making this a warm friendly home for so many. The best group of people ever! I am so fortunate to be a part of it.

  Lakewood is the kind of place where you feel at home from the moment you walk in the door. I first visited nearly five years ago, when I was asked to speak to a women's group there about my experiences overseas. At the time, I had no idea that places like Lakewood existed for senior adults, and I was amazed by the friendliness of the staff, the amenities, and the food. I noticed that the staff knew each resident by name and addressed them with respect. In the years since, I've found that my initial impression matches reality. Lakewood is warm, welcoming and inviting. I highly recommend it.
