Walmart Pharmacy

My wife and I switched to Wlmart pharmacy due to a change in our insurance, not because we wanted to. We normally went to Walgreens, sometimes CVS or AMD independent pharmacy. My initial thoughts were that yes, it was going to be cheaper like the insurance said but it was going to be hell getting in and out AMD getting pre authorizations may be like pulling teeth as Walgreens was taking close to a week.

But oh. My. Goodness. I was wrong. I got after work to get my scripts, I am in and out in less than 10 minutes on average and pre-authorizations or having to have a Dr. calendar in a refill, they have you medicine the next day. I'd give them more tha. 5 stars if I could.

If you call ahead, you don't have to wait. The pharmacists are very friendly and knowledgeable. If you don't call ahead, then it's better to drop-off and come back. The pharmacists are not slow, they just have a very high volume to manage. They take orders over phone as well as in store.
