It's beautiful down by the water and to catch fish, it's a blessing. I love being down by the water edge God's country.
Great local place for fishing amd nice scenery.
This is a wonderful small park that shows a few aspects of our history. The house is a good starting point for both the tour as well as the wonderful porch that it has. The grounds are will kept and maintained, plus there are several historic houses nearby, that though privately owned are great to view while walking down towards the river. Fishing off the wooden deck at the rivers edge or farther back along the trail are also a couple things you could do here alone or with family/friends.
Neat little historical site with a house museum open until 5:00pm. No public restrooms down by the water and picnic areas after the park closes though. But scenic it does have a parking area at the top and bottom of the hill
This is a beautiful park with fresh cut grass and an area to fish. The history here is also worth the visit. You can watch a brief video explaining the site's significance during the Civil War in one of the houses. Also, the site of the river is relaxing. I thoroughly have enjoyed my visits to this park.
