A great place to take a walk through the woods. Mostly flat. Very peaceful.
Great nature trails, cool, shaded. Fun for running.
Great hiking trails through beautiful for
Nice quiet hiking. Peaceful.
I just discovered this hidden gem after coming to the Northern Neck for 5 years. The trails are beautiful and vary quite a bit. Some trails are flat wide enough for a car and some are small paths winding through slopes of old-growth trees and mountain laurel. The park is very hilly and has streams, swamps and deep ravines, which is a bit unexpected given its near sea level and is surrounded by flat farmland.
