Great instruction in Krav Maga and Self Defense! Instructors provide personalized attention in Group classes with private lessons available, which really helpful in progressing in your skills. Its a great group of instructors, with the ability to workout with various belt levels in class. Class also includes techniques at various belt levels which is awesome! Highly recommended!!

I've been training with Silverback Ashburn instructor Daniel Herbstreith over at Silverback Chantilly for several years, and recently took some courses with him at the new location in Ashburn. If you are looking for a place to get a great workout, while also learning excellent techniques from a dedicated instructor, Silverback Ashburn is the place to go. Daniel is an incredibly technical coach, whose detailed explanations really help students gain a better understanding of the important minutiae of Krav Maga and self-defense. He lays out the "how," "when" and "why" of the defensive positions and movements he teaches so students can better grasp their utility, then drills them rigorously to cement them in. Said drills can range from fairly fundamental repetition to fully oppositional work, depending on skill level. For anyone from beginner on up, I cannot recommend this place more highly.

I have been training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 10 years andcome to train at Silverback Academy with Sean Stoopman and Andrew Stewart. I have learned amazing details to positions i thought i knew. They run a great program for both advanced and beginner grapplers, can't recommend enough.

If you're looking for a good way to get in shape, learn functional self defense, or just enhance your martial arts skills - the coaches at Silverback are awesome. Both of my kids and several friends can attest to the positive attitude, encouragement, and camaraderie you'll get here.
