“My first & favorite mental hospital ever. I would say that this place is better than Dominion, even though most of the staff is nice there. But, I miss Mr. Darren, because he's funny, & some other staff would tell their stories. This was the only mental hospital that I never got bullied. I met good friends there. The food, in my opinion, was close to delicious. I miss the place & some of the people, but it's good to be discharged from a mental hospital, once you have planned your short term & long term goals. Even though there have been some incidents at the residential hospital, I'd rather recommend the acute hospital. The drive to Leesburg by ambulance was fun too. Again, I miss a lot of people there, & I would recommend the acute facility, not residential. Since the hospital is fun, I'm going to work there as a group leader, along with airport firefighting, after I graduate. Shoutouts to Ms. Shernise, Mr. Mike, Ms. Jessica, Ms. Ashley, Ms. Waffa, Ms. Pam, & Mr. Darren”

“My daughter was taken to the acute hospital under a TDO. At first I was upset because when she was being transported to the hospital I called the hispital and asked them to call me when she arrived just so I knew she got there okay (it was a 3.5 hour drive late at night) and also instructed them to give her meds to her as soon as she arrived. Neither happened. The next morning, the psychiatrist called just to let us know she was okay (after we had tried calling every number for them that we had and getting no answer). We went to visit her that afternoon and she was in horrible shape emotionally as she was tired and had not had her meds. I had a long talk with the nurse and psych tech. They listened and responded to all of my questions. We got the timing of the medication straightened out. The next day, after some rest, she was doing great. She like the food and most of the staff she said was nice to her. She didn't like the bed alarms or the other safety measures they had taken there but it all made sense to me why they had them (nothing crazy just things like solid door handles so you couldn't tie anything on them to hurt yourself, etc..). She did tell me of a couple of times certain aides were rude to her and we immediately told the administrator. Overall, for an acute unit, it is one of the better ones (unfortunately we've had experiences with a few). Not sure of the residential program however.”

“Dr. Amanda Brown of Leesburg Family Smiles has been our family dentist for the last 4 years. The front end staff in this office are exceptional- friendly, professional, and personal. Dr. Brown is an excellent doctor. She makes you feel at ease and explains any work that needs to be done clearly. I feel that she is conservative in her treatment, there is never any pressure. Dr Brown also treated our oldest son for orthodontics. He recently had his braces removed and we are thrilled with the results. It is easy to make appointments that fit with our schedule and a big bonus is their beautiful new office conveniently located in Leesburg. I highly recommend Dr. Brown and Leesburg Family Smiles to anyone who needs dental or orthodontic care.”

“I ADORE Wegmans! I drive once a week 25 mins each way to come here. It’s always clean, has plenty of options, staff is extremely nice, friendly, and attentive. Down sides: it can get busy, they may run low on products on Tuesdays, and restaurant area is a little pricey.”
