Big Blue Swim School

I highly recommend Big Blue Swim School for children (even babies) for swim lessons. This facility is regularly clean and the staff is knowledgeable on your child's progress and what you can do in between lessons. They start lessons on time and give each child in the class enough individual attention. Also, the app makes it easy to schedule weekly lessons or drop in lessons.

We haven't returned to a lot yet with the pandemic, but we did start back with swim lessons. My kids look forward to their lessons every week! The classes are small, they have taken ALL the precautions and we feel so safe coming each week!

It is amazing to watch my kids progress each week. The instructors are patient and kind- they work with my kids at their level and get them a little better each and every time.

I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to do swim lessons. It is so much fun for them, and a safe environment. We tried a swim place closer to home and it was not the same warm environment as it is here.

As businesses reopen and we look at options for our children to get back to normal following the COVID 19 shutdown we have weighed each option based on how serious each option is taking the health and safety precautions. Tom Dolan Swim School has gone above and beyond to mitigate as much risk as possible in this first phase of reopening with their instructors wearing face shields, leaving an empty lane between lesson groups, significantly reducing class sizes, marked distancing for observers, etc. They are the first activity that we have returned to. We are so pleased that they have been able to survive the shutdown so far and that we are seeing the same teachers now that we are back.

Even before the shutdown though, they have been amazing. Our son has made great progress and has loved every one of his teachers. The kids are actually in the water the entire lesson rather than sitting on the side most of the class like the community options we have tried. While the cost is higher, when you look at the actual minutes of instruction that your child receives and how quickly they learn their skills, it is a far better value. He also loves that the water is warmer than other pools so he doesn't get out shivering at the end of the lesson. If you can't already tell, I highly recommend Tom Dolan Swim School and encourage everyone to give them a try even if previous swim lesson experiences at other pools were not great. I am confident you will not be disappointed.

We came to Tom Dolan Swim School after our favorite instructor left another swim school and started teaching here. She has taught all three of my children starting when they were 6 months old. Water safety is very important to me and my husband and Tom Dolan Swim School has taught my children how to be safe around water, in the water, and proper form on strokes. We have been very happy here and look forward to more years of receiving instruction from here.

I love this place! My daughter is in the lowest level, Water Babies 1 (free till 6 months old by the way), and she loves the pool! The water is a gentle salt and kept to 90 degrees, absolutely perfect for babies. The class teaches a lot of basic water acclimation stuff but is also really fun! It's a very nice but relatively small facility so classes aren't loud or overwhelming for babies either. The facilities are always pristine. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful, from the instructors to the front desk. Overall just the perfect environment for swim classes!
