“I started at VAA in 8th grade in 2016. Based on my experience I’d give this school a pretty good review. Here are the pros and cons of Virginia academy Pros: 1.Good teachers. The teachers at Virginia academy are very kind and helpful. I believe that for the most part they care strongly for your education. Our principal mr. feathers is awesome and he truly shows that he cares about our students 2. Good environment. If you’re looking to escape a very crowed environment like public school, VAA is the place. At VAA classrooms are smaller so you have a better opportunity to participate in classes. You also get to know most people in the school since the upper school only has around 200 kids. 3. Kind students. For the most part, students at VAA were kind and fun to be around. I got to meet some of my closest friends from VAA that I still talk to today. Now for the cons 1. No AP classes. This school has no AP classes, instead they have online dual enrollment. For me it is harder to learn online. I think that having AP classes would make everything simpler rather than learning things online. Those are my pros and cons. I hope you consider VAA if you think it is the school for you. It isn’t for everybody. However if you’re dealing with public school issues like big crowds and poor academics, VAA is for you. For everyone else that is succeeding in public school, I recommend staying there if you think it’s the right fit for you”

The turnover rate is very low, there are the same teachers there from 7 years ago. They have good communication and are accommodating.”

“My company was already a client of SBIS when I joined in February 2023. My previous experience with service providers was that there were "some good" and some "not so good". However, SBIS blew it out of the park for me. I was replacing an employee that already had a great working relationship with SBIS. She went on to pursue other endeavors and I was the new kid on the block. From day one of my employment, Bill Schmidt and Lindsy Frango bent over backwards to help me. This would have been repetitive support on their part, but no matter, they were happy to help answer basic entry level questions and guided me to achieve the knowledge and, therefore, the working relationship that I had inherited. “I've been a platelet donor for two decades, and never found anywhere as welcoming, competent, affirming, fun, or professional as this donation center. They're the quickest to update to meet FDA requirements and shape whatever is in their power to be compassionate and informed while ensuring that recipients of our blood products are as safe as possible. They stand head and shoulders over other blood drives or centers that do apheresis, though the Inova center down in Centerville is a close second. The fact that both Inova centers locally blow the Red Cross away in staff, equipment, policy, and environment is amazing to me, and I do totally respect the Red Cross and am happy to support them . . . But given the choice I'd jump at the chance to donate via the screeners/staff/phlebotomists at Inova every time. Last two donations at this location I didn't even bother turning on my podcasts or watching my videos or other things I planned on during a triple platelet donation. For nearly two hours, I just had wonderful conversations with the phlebotomists managing my draw/return and comfort. Amazing staff; it makes a huge difference.”

“I am so glad that I took a chance with this car dealer. Divine Automotive Group is a family operated local business that treats their customers with integrity, respect, and kind professionalism. I was in the market for a 2003 Toyota Highlander. Those SUVs are renowned for reliability, space, and safety. I was sold the SUV first come, first serve. I am just performing normal maintenance on it so far (I just picked it up today), and it is running smoothly. I felt super comfortable at this dealership, and got the impression that they treat everyone with respect. When I was lost, could not find the dealership, and was late for my test drive appointment, Ahmed’s brother Dowd literally drove to where my son and I were lost (down the street) and led us to the dealership himself. I appreciate that the car buying process was seamless, expedited, well organized, and Mr. Ahmed explained all the papers, fees and things for me to expect (picking up the title, where to sign, etc.) It is only one out of two times in my life that I can say a car salesman treated me with completely respect and equity as a minority disabled woman. I would definitely look to Divine Automotive Group for future automobile purchase needs, and I would recommend them if you need a reliable used car for a fair price.”

“Perfect for families with little ones. Might get a bit boring for older kids (12+) though. There is a park right outside the entrance to the pool that also caters to younger kids (ages2-10). The pool has several mushroom waterfalls (some big, some small), a beach-style entry with spraying fountains, a waterslide (might be the one thing the older kids enjoy), lazy river, and plenty of lounge chairs & tables w/umbrellas for eating snacks & relaxing. The best thing about this pool is that the ENTIRE pool (minus the slide area, but including the lazy river) is only 3.5 ft at its highest point!”
