Newport News Parks Campsite Office

The staff in the campground office are very nice and helpful. The parks campground is way nicer than I thought it would be. The bath houses are old and need to be updated, but are clean. The dump station is large and easy to get through. If this was not so local to me, this might be an option. Overall, I would say for someone coming to Newport News in an RV to visit family, this is a good place to rest.

Anna up front, the park rangers, groundskeepers, everyone is so friendly. I love having this little retreat so close to home. Thank you all for what you do we appreciate you!

Our favorite place to RV close to home, I wish they would remove the center entrance island because RVs are bigger and longer when this island was put in, the maintenance department has the equipment to do it. Other than that a Great place to RV, camp or do some walking, running or biking with a beautiful lake view..

We love this campground! Lovely mature trees, near water. Nice camp office with said store and laundry. Nice price: $36/night with Electric and water. Bath houses could be better, but ok. Paved campsite road and lots of great spacious sites! Stay in D loop for less I64 noise. Most sites look pretty level. We were given #117 upon arrival which is not level...but switched to #115 which is perfect!

We averaged $38 / night for W / E50. This campground is in a beautiful forest of trees just off I-64 which make for a quiet and peaceful experience. The shade was welcome with temperatures in the mid 90's. Sites are spacious with nice spacing. Will definitely stay here again!!!
