Walmart Pharmacy

Sure there's a line and the staff is overworked, but they are very friendly and professional. The pharmacist caught a potential bad interaction and gave advice and remediation. They far exceeded my expectations of a retail pharmacy.

Update as of Aug 30 2021: I do so love this pharmacy and the staff but unfortunately I will have to switch to another pharmacy. It is not the staffs fault but solely “Walmart’s policy” on stimulant medications such as Adderall.

I don’t know why, but they would not fill my entire prescription of Adderall due to the policy they have in place. They will only dispense so much Adderall. The highest they would dispense was 30mg 2X a day not 3.

I have been taking my dosage of 30mg 3x day for over a decade (have taken all my life since the age of 5 for narcolepsy and ADHD) and never experienced a problem with getting it filled with any other pharmacy. This appears to be only a personal Walmart policy they have in place.

If you too are taking a high dose of stimulant medications I would recommend going to another pharmacy. I went to Walgreens and it was filled immediately.

**However despite this Walmart policy this has been an absolutely wonderful pharmacy to come to. All the staff are so helpful and you can tell they really care about you. I highly recommend this pharmacy if your not taking a high dose of stimulant medication. This pharmacy gives me the feeling of a small mom and pop run pharmacy where everyone knows you and enjoy seeing each other. **

As for the other negative reviews this is a large population that attends this pharmacy and impossible to please everyone. Walmart is very high traffic as it is and being in a huge major city right by the airport makes it even busier.

This pharmacy is very much by the book following all laws and protocols so some people may not like that I suspect and probably is the reason they wrote such nasty reviews. Give this pharmacy a chance! Just because things don’t go your way, doesn’t mean it is an awful place.

Wow I was so shocked at all the negative reviews! I just moved here with my husband, and daughter from NC and the thing I was most stressed about moving to another state was switching insurances, and being able to stay on my vital medications.

The staff couldn’t of been more helpful. There was a man there in dreads behind the counter who worked diligently to solve my issue as did another middle aged staff member with brunette curls. She informed me that the man with the dreads was the brains and if anyone could figure out my issue it would be him.

After much effort he kindly advised me to contact insurance and say I needed them as primary source of insurance. I did that and bam what a smooth transition and all my problems have come to an end. I can’t tell you how much I was stressing as I’m on many meds I’ve been on for decades, with many treating very serious issues.

The staff was ever so kind, patient, and overall wonderful that I felt I had to come up here to honor them.

Never had an issue with getting my meds.
