“This home is very well preserved and great to see. There are guided tours but only every half hour so if you don't plan your trip well, you can end up having some time to kill. They have a tour on slavery which was very powerful but also a tour on the Constitution but these are only available once a day. Everyone who is able should see this at some point. It is a powerful building and you learn much about Madison and the time in which he lived.”

“I probably would have given this place 5 stars but I got there to late for the guided tour. I did go to the Madison family cemetery. The large monument that marks his grave was placed there well after his and Dolly's death. A humble man, he wanted no marker on his grave. He felt that all the people important to him would know where he laid.”

“This weekend, we had the privilege and pleasure of being one of three couples to stay in the Nathaniel Inn as its very first guests. This house is absolutely stunning! Every room has countless details that make you feel as though you've gone back in time. The blend of modern and antique decor makes this house truly one of a kind. You can walk into every room and 'feel' the history. We loved gathering on the front porch with some evening snacks and wine that we had purchased during our winery tours during the day. Inside, we had everything (and more!) that we could ask for to cook, relax, and make memories. Finally, when the day came to an end, we fell into the most comfortable bed ever. The bedding, pillows, private (and very luxurious) bathroom....all incredible! Everything about this house, and the very charming town, not only made us feel right at home, but afforded us one of the most memorable weekends we've had in a very long time.
