Meadows of Dan Campground & Cabins

What a beautiful campground. Clean bath house. Great views. Water and electricity on the tent sites. The hosts are such nice people. Good laughs and good times. If you like woods this is the place. Nice and shady. Right off the Blue Ridge parkway too.

This is a wonderful campground immediately off of the Blue Ridge mountain Parkway. Not only are the views fantastic from the campground but the sites are very spacious. Spaced out well and provide great privacy. The restrooms were very clean and they provided free washer and dryer. Each site had a nice picnic table and a fire ring. Definitely planning on returning to this great campground in the future.

A peaceful campground in a stone's throw from the Parkway. After no hookups or hot showers at the National Park, Meadows of Dan is the best, with full hookups and friendly staff.

Stayed here as a 1 night stop over while driving the Blue Ridge Parkway. Excellent service, we showed up without a reservation and had no trouble to get a booking. Sites are large, well equipped and the washroom/bath houses are clean and central. Very quiet campground close to the parkway with convenience stores and gas stations close by.

Best kept secret on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Campground is perfectly rustic, not too run down, not too modern. Up on the hill, so there is no road noise. Other campers are polite and respectful of their neighbors. I think the management is changing, so we'll see how the environment shifts. I hope this wonderfully quaint campground doesn't change too much.
