(July 6, 2020, 3:14 am)Searched fish n chips and found instead Fish & Slips. Accommodated me walking up and ordering because I couldn't get through on the phone to place an order in this Covid crazyness. Ended up ordering the Crabby burger and crab balls. Wish I could have dinned in because there are some great views of the bay and city skyline. I drove from Norfolk but was informed that the ferry is also a great choice of travel back and forth from Norfolk to Portsmouth.
(June 29, 2020, 11:03 am)Fish N Slips is definitely a go-to for fresh seafood and cocktails in a relaxed atmosphere. I love the casual feel and the awesome view, and the servers have always been so kind. The fried lump crab balls are my "must-order" appetizer whenever I go, so do yourself a favor and give them a try (with the aioli).
(May 30, 2020, 5:17 pm)I have never had a bad experience here. The wait staff has always been attentive even when they were busy. The views from the restaurant over the water are always excellent. Chef Andrew and everybody in the kitchen always put out top notch products. Can't reccomend the blackened tuna bites enough.
(August 7, 2019, 5:19 pm)Came here for lunch today. Very enjoyable experience. Parking lot signs were a little hidden, just turn in and the signs say park near the fences. Oyster po boy and the buffalo shrimp tacos were great. These portions were so generous!

I have been to many restaurant in marina, and so far is so-so, but Fish & Slips is amazing. The oysters are so fresh that I ordered twice. Slow Sunday here but good for us. It's a little hard to find but it's IN the marina. Keep walking past the fancy boats, the pool, the boat shop....
