Dr. Kristina Ramsey, OD Harbor Family Eye Care

I was able to get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time. They were very clear about what my insurance would cover and what my out of pocket cost would be. Everything was clean and on time. Dr. Ramsey was SUPERB and I thoroughly appreciated her exam process. She mentioned things no one ever has and I've had these eyes for over 30 years with the same issues! Her explanations were clear without being condescending or over simplified. I was in and out with everything I needed to order my own glasses (insurance does not cover frames or contacts). I will be back!

First visit was great. Here I am not even six months later, needing another eye exam out of medical necessity and I can’t get a return phone call.

Update: second visit went well. I had no interaction with the receptionist who has the bad attitude, so no complaints there! Dr Ramsay was thorough and pleasant as usual. I’m not sure why I was told there were no appointments available through the end of this month, then told the very next day they had plenty of appointments. I’m glad my medical issue was addressed.

Since Covid started, I decided to finally make the change from my previous eye doctor in VB to one closer to my home in Portsmouth. Dr. Ramsey and her staff were very welcoming and friendly. Dr. Ramsey herself was very easy to talk to and open to explaining the specific care I was receiving and how it related to my extreme nearsightedness.

Masks wear worn by all staff members and hand sanitizer & wipes were readily available in every room.
